Behaviour Change Advisory Services (BCAS<\/strong>) is an organization dedicated to supporting low-income communities improve their well-being with the support of digital technology. Our primary work focuses on providing technical assistance to help assess and improve the productivity, income and livelihoods of smallholder farmers using the best available methods including behavioral economics, social learning theory, rigorous experimentation and impact evaluations across India. We offer these services in collaboration with partner organizations (public, private and non-profit) with the goal of improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers across India. Over time, we are also growing to serve the information needs of other sectors dedicated to improving the well-being and livelihoods of those living in poverty.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Bhaumik Shah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Bhaumik has years of experience in program management and operations focused on ICT4D interventions in India and Ethiopia. He previously worked with the Institute for Financial Management and Research as a consultant, and at Awaaz.De as the Vice President of Operations. Bhaumik holds an MBA in Rural Management.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Tarun Pokiya<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Designated Partner<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Tarun Pokiya has a postgraduate degree in agriculture science and has over 8 years of experience in agricultural research projects. He previously worked as an Agronomist at the Centre for Microfinance, IFMR LEAD in Gujarat, India. He also led field management for the \u201cAvaaj Otalo\u201d project, a mobile-based agriculture extension impact evaluation study, and has experience in studying ICT-based interventions for agriculture in India with the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
